Hello
A warm welcome to Wilmslow Art.
Wilmslow Art is an annual event designed to showcase the very best artists, makers and potters from around the North West.
The Wilmslow Art committee is currently made up of four volunteers who also regularly show at the event:
Tine Dalgaard, ceramics
Alex Jabore, fine art
Karin Sheldon, jeweller
Sylvia Glover, ceramics
Background and Artists
Every year, the Wilmslow Art committee puts a call out for artists to participate. Many more artists apply to be part of the event than there is space and every year the selection process becomes harder. The selection process is based on quality of work and also includes a curation element to ensures a vibrant and interesting show for visitors. The committee are fuelled by a passion for art, jewellery and ceramics and this is evident in the superb quality of work on display.
Typically around 20-30 artists are selected each year. The call out is usually launched in March for the October Wilmslow Art event. If you are interested in applying, please sign up to our mailing list to be the fist to hear about next years' show.
The committee are always looking for new committee members, so if you are interested in being part of our volunteer committee next year, please get in touch.
Our Artists
As well as being able to browse through the amazing work on display, you will be able to meet and chat with the artist themselves, find out about their process and the stories behind their work. Many will work to commission too if you fancy something a little more bespoke.
We started as Wilmslow Art Trail many years ago and artists were located in shops and restaurants around the town of Wilmslow. We have been running for many years and our audience and loyal customers have grown each year.
We become Wilmslow Art 'under one roof' when we relocated to one venue, the beuatifully restored Church Rooms at the United Reformed Church and we have been there ever since.
